Italian Eni to produce hydrocarbons in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea

The memorandum of understanding in the area of a study of the possibilities of hydrocarbons prospecting and production in Turkmenistan considers the exploration and production of hydrocarbons by “Eni-Turkmenistan Ltd” in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, blocks 19 and 20, the president of the country, G.Berdymukhamedov said at a briefing summing up the results of the negotiations with the Prime Minister of Italy, M. Renzi.
According to the president, experts assess the resources of these blocks at about 500 million tons of oil and more than 600 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
