Turkmenistan looks for leader of TAPI pipeline consortium and promises it contract for gas production at the Galkynysh field

The Pipeline consortium TAPI Limited, created in November to construct the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, conducts active negotiates to find a company-leader of the consortium, the Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister Baymurad Hodzhamuhamedov said today, spoken at the International Oil and Gas Conference opened in Ashgabat.

The shareholders of TAPI Ltd are gas companies of the four countries participating in the project, Hodzhamuhamedov recalled, stressed that the state concern Turkmegaz had already signed agreements on the purchase and sale of gas with all of them. A further feasibility study of the project was also conducted.
