Novak: Russia to participate in the meeting of OPEC on December 3rd

​Russia will participate in the expert meeting of OPEC on December 3rd if is held, the Minister of Energy A. Novak said.

We were offered to hold a meeting before December 4th so as to have a talk not in the framework of the OPEC summit but at the level of experts, Mr. Novak said. He said the representatives of the Ministry of Energy would not participate in the OPEC meeting.

On Monday A. Novak said that at the meeting of experts in October it was agreed to go on consultations in mid December.

Another meeting of OPEC will be held on December 4th. At the latest meeting on June 5th OPEC saved the quota for oil extraction at 30 mln barrels a day. OPEC repeatedly exceeds the quota.

Last week A. Novak said that he considers unlikely the variant of reduction of oil extraction at the meeting on December 4th.
