Turkmenistan waits for investments in development of oil and gas resources

The development of oil and gas resources in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, which are estimated at 12.1 billion tons of oil and 6.1 trillion cubic meters of gas, is one of the priority areas of investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan.

This was stated by the country’s Ministrer Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources Muhammetnur Halylov in his speech at the international conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan" (OGT-2015) on Tuesda,.

The Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea is divided into 32 license blocks, five blocks of which are currently under operation, and the remaining blocks are the subject of direct not exclusive negotiations to all interested parties.
