In 2014, Tatneft to increase oil production by 0.2%

In 2014, Tatneft is going to increase oil production by 0.2% to  26.172 million tons, the CEO of the company N. Maganov says. Last year production was 26.107 million tons of oil (+0.4% or + 36 million tons). In future, the company is going to provide enlargement in reserves because of the introduction of the new technologies including those aimed an in enlargement in layers’ oil productivity, because of the further development of bitumen (super-viscous oil), and perspective shale oil development. This year the company is going to extract outside Tatarstan 312 thousand  tons of oil, the same as in 2013. The main task of the company for the coming years is stabilization of oil production in the republic and enlargement in operation outside the region. The strategy is not going to be changed now. Tatneft has received no offers to merge with other oil companies and does not discuss the point..
