The President of the Ukraine V. Yanukovich has signed the law about VAT cancelling for gas imports

The President of the Ukraine V. Yanukovich has signed the law  about introduction of amendments to Article 197 of the Tax Code of the Ukraine about releasing from the payment of the value added tax for  the operations for gas imports to the Ukraine. The law was agreed by the Verkhovnaya Rada on January 16 2014.

The Governmental law project suggests to broaden Article 197 of the Tax Code of the Ukraine, p. 197.22, according to which the operations for gas imports to the Ukraine are released from payment of the value added tax.. Since January 1st 2014, it came into force the corresponding law #713-VII signed on December 19 2013, ‘About introduction of amendments to the Tax Code applied to the rates of some taxes’. The law cancels from 2014 p.14 of Article 197 of the Code (the operations for gas imports to the Ukraine were released from VAT).
