Lukoil asks to postpone exploration at East Taimyr site

Lukoil has asked the Federal Subsoil Use Agency to postpone the start of geological exploration at the site, won by the company. According to the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Sergei Donskoy, Lukoil motivates its request with the fact that because of litigation with Rosneft for the site, the time for the works was lost, and now there are very difficult conditions.

Donskoy said that he instructed to check the possibility of carrying out the geological exploration at the East Taimyr site. However, for a while the license conditions remain in force, and Lukoil is formally obliged to start the works.
