Reuters: first lot of Russian oil has been shipped to the USA after a 4-year break

Glencore has sold 100 thousand tons of Urals oil to Chevron for the supply to the USA. This is the first shipment of Russian oil to the USA after a 4-year break, Reuters reports referring to the oil traders.
According to the agency, oil was shipped from the port in Primorie on Jan 16-17 and will be shipped to one of the terminals on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
Glencore purchased oil from Rosneft. A representative of the Russian company refused to comment.
Previously JBC research center called the renewal of supplies of Urals oil to the USA to economically reasonable.
