The Balkans to continue to be priority gas market for Azerbaijan

The Balkans are and will remain a priority gas market for Azerbaijan, SOCAR’s vice president for investments and marketing, Elshad Nasirov said in interview to New Europe.

According to him, the Balkans will become the first European direction, where gas will be supplied after Turkey.

“If to compare supply of gas to other regions of Europe, from the point of view of transportation costs the Balkans are our priority direction, of course,” – he noted.

The supplies of Azerbaijani gas to European and Turkish customers via TANAP, TAP and South Caucasus Gas Pipeline will be carried out on schedule, the SOCAR’s vice president said.
