The Ukraine intends to increase gas imports by 33% in 2015

​In 2015 the Ukraine intends to increase gas import by 33% against 2014, the deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, A. Svetelnik, said.

It is planned to increase gas import to 25.9 bln cubic m from 19.5 bln cubic m.

“According to the project of the forecast balance 19 bln cubic m will be extracted in the Ukraine, 25.9 bln cubic m will be imported”, he said.

The representatives of the EU Commission, Ukraine and Russia meet on Friday in Brussels to discuss the conditions of the Russian gas supply to the Ukraine after the expiration on March 31st of the “winter package” of agreements.
