Russian Ministry of Finance doesn’t rule out “unfreezing” of export duty
The Russian Finance Ministry is ready to discuss oil export duty rate reduction in 2016. Experts believe that the conditions for its "defreezing" are comfortable for the budget, and the effect will be positive for the industry.
- If someone seriously makes this up for discussion, we will discuss and look at the situation. To date, in our opinion, there is no prerequisite for this. But I wouldn’t like my comment was interpreted as a signal that this discussion wsa started. It is not, - said the Deputy Finance Minister Ilya Trunin.
A source of the Izvestiya in the Energy Ministry said earlier that such proposal was being prepared. However, the Ministry didn’t provide official comments on the matter.
