Increase of export duty on black oil to have a negative impact on refineries

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has said that increase of export duties on oil and other dark oil products, planned in 2015, may cause a decline in the primary processing of crude oil.

Export duties on oil and other dark oil products are planned to be increased to the level of oil export duty. As a result, according to Novak, the volume of oil processing can decrease by 35 million tons industrywide. The production of commercial gasoline may fall by 1-4 million tons, the Minister specified.
