NOVATEK to supply 3 mln tons of LNG a year to CNPC

NOVATEK signed a contract with CNPC on a supply of 3 million tons of liquefied natural gas a year, Interfax states.
The head of NOVATEK L.Mikhelson said during the ceremony of signing the agreement: “Last year we signed basic terms, while now we have signed the final contract – 3 million tons.”
The LNG is expected to be supplied within the framework of “Yamal LNG” project. It considers the development of Yuzhno-Tambeiskoye deposit and the construction of a plant of 16.5 million tons of LNG and 1 million tons of gas condensate processing a year.
