Sibur plans new projects with Sinopec

Sibur has dramatically expanded cooperation with the Chinese state-owned company Sinopec, which already owns a stake in its Krasnoyarsk synthetic rubber plant. The parties plan to sign a cooperation agreement, as well as documents for the construction of a new plant of the same profile in Shanghai. Specialized experts estimate the project at $150 million. At the same time, Sibur discusses the participation of Sinopec in the large-scale projects of Tobolsk and Belogorsk gas chemical complexes, which products also will be largely focused on the Chinese market.
