Russia reduced steel production by 3% in January-April 2016

​According to Rosstat, the metallurgical plants of Russia in January-April 2016 reduced steel production by 3.1% to 22.8 mln tons.

According to the Federal Service of State Statistics (Rosstat), steel production at the metallurgical plants of Russia in January-April 2016 fell by 3.1% to 22.8 mln tons against January-April 2015.

Cast iron making in January-April 2016 rose by 2% against January-April 2015 and made up 17.4 mln tons, finished rolled products and pipe output fell by 2.9% and 5.4% respectively to 19.7 and 3.5 mln tons.

In April steel output in Russia fell by 3.6% against March, and rose by 1.7% against April 2015. Cast iron making fell by 6.8% against March, output of finished rolled products and pipes – by 2.6% and 3.9% respectively.
