Drilling of an operational oil well is over at Barsagelmes deposit in Turkmenistan

​Tukmennebit has completed the drilling of an operation well at the Barsagelmes deposit in Turkmenistan.

The drilling of an operational oil well #1291 is completed by 25 days earlier than was planned.

There is the first oil flow.

The assembly of the drilling unit for drilling of another operational well #1307 with the project depth of 4,100 m is held now.

In 2012 the drilling of the well #1239 was completed at the Barsagelmes deposit and there was first industrial oil flow from the depth of 3,000 m.

In 2001 ExxonMobil held the exploration of the Barsagelmes deposit which is in the structure of the Garashsyzlyk-2 block.

The block with the area of about 4.5 thousand sq km comprises the Cheleken, Barsagelmes, Goturdepe, Ordekli, Ekizak and Gyujik deposits with the oil reserves of 400 mln tons.
