Demand for Russian gas in Europe would grow, the chairman of board of the German gas company Wintershall Mario Meren stated in an interview with Tass at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"Europe needs Russian gas. We all know that production decreases in Europe, in particular on our fields in the Netherlands and the UK. And there is no way to increase production, so it is impossible to maintain production at current levels", - he explained.
