By October 1, the Ukraine will inject 12.5 billion cubic m of gas to its underground gas storages, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry E. Stavitsky says. By the beginning of the heating season, the volume should reach 14 billion cubic m. In the opinion of Kiev, the volume should provide uninterrupted Russian gas transit to the European consumers but Gazprom thinks that the volume should be 20 billion cubic m. Earlier Mr. Stavitsky said that the Ukraine was ready to enlarge gas injection to underground gas storages at the expense of Gazprom funds.
