Court to consider I. Sechin’s claim against Vedomosti newspaper on protection of honor, accomplishments and business reputation

On August 20th 2014 the Ostankino Court of Moscow will consider the claim of Rosneft’s head I. Sechin against the Vedomosti newspaper and its journalist K. Kharatian on the protection of his honour, accomplishments and business reputation.
The reason to file the claim was the story as of June 16th 2014 titled Man of the week: I. Sechin in which the newspaper estimated the influence of Rosneft’s head on the economy of Russia.
According to the claimant, the newspaper used a number of incorrect statements.
I. Sechin asks the Court to make the newspaper prove the falsification of this data and delete it from the website of Vedomosti.
