Lukoil to present a program of ecological safety in the Northwestern Federal District for 2014-2018

Lukoil has presented a draft of Ecological Safety Program for 2014-2018.
The Program’s priority aims are utilization of new wastage and “old (before privatization) damages”, the recultivation of disturbed and contaminated land sites, improvement of register system and GHG emission reduction.
The company also wants to increase the use of associated petroleum gas to the level of not less than 95% by 2015 and the production of clean fuel that would meet ecological standards of Euro-5.
The company introduces industrial environmental monitoring automated systems and increase readiness of its subdivisions to liquidate consequences of possible emergencies to achieve these goals.
