Gazprom doesn’t rule out shortage of gas in Europe in upcoming winter

The Deputy chairman of the Gazprom’s Board, Alexander Medvedev doesn’t rule out the gas shortage in Europe this winter.

"For over a year, we have not been able to get the permission of the European Commission for the auction on OPAL (German gas pipeline, supplying gas to consumers of the EU from Nord Stream, the use of which at maximum capacity is limited by the Third Energy Package). Thank God, last winter was warm. And our underground gas storages had enough gas. But today, when there is a shortage, the situation is different,"- said Medvedev.
