The largest US jewelry retailer has become a long-term client of Alrosa

​The largest network of jewelry shops of the USA, UK and Canada -  Signet Jewelers Limited- has become the long-term client of Alrosa.

The contract is signed with Signet Direct Diamond Sourcing Limited.

Until now Signet purchase diamonds of Alrosa in the spot market. Alrosa started the negotiations with Signet upon the signing of the long-term contract at the beginning of 2014. Now the long-term clients of Alrosa are the largest jewelry networks Tiffany and Chow Tai Fook.

The long-term clients of Alrosa purchase guaranteed volume of raw materials at the monthly trading sessions the main parameters of which – price and collection limit – are preliminarily approved by the Council of Alrosa in conformity with the dynamics of the world market. The box of each client comprises both the required positions and raw materials offered by Alrosa. About 70% of the entire volume of sales of Alrosa are long-term clients. Another 20% of diamonds are sold in the spot market, mainly to overseas, and only 10-12% is purchased by the Russian clients.
