Transneft expects the growth of oil processing in Russia in 2016
Transneft expects the growth of oil processing in Russia in 2016, the first Vice-President of Transneft, M. Grishanin, said.
The company forecasts the growth of oil processing compared to the level of 2015.
Grishanin is sure that with the adaptation of oil companies to the tax maneuver, the processing in the country will be growing and export will start to fall. According to Transneft, oil export will fall in case the extraction level stays.
The basic scenario of the Energy strategy of Russia until 2035 presupposes oil extraction at the level of 525 mln tons and processing of 240 mln tons.
In 2014 oil extraction in Russia made up 525.7 mln tons, primary processing -288.9 mln tons, oil shipment for processing – 292 mln tons.
