Gazprom has an opportunity to pump up to 12 bln cubic m of gas by North-South gas pipeline of Pakistan

​On November 20th 2015 at the meeting of the intergovernmental Russia-Pakistan committee the head of FDCS, V. Invanov, said that Gazprom is interested in LNG supply to Pakistan.

He said that Gazprom is interested in the entering the LNG market of Pakistan. Such cooperation will allow to load the gas pipeline the construction of which is planned.

Gazprom has an opportunity to pump up to 12 bln cubic m of gas by it.

The new “North-South” gas pipeline is planned to be constructed by 2020.

On October 16th 2015 the Minister of Energy, A. Novak, and the Minister of Oil and Natural Resources of Pakistan, Sh. Abbasi, signed an agreement on the construction of the North-South gas pipeline in Pakistan.

The affiliate of Rostekh- RT-Global resources – will hold construction works.

The ordering company is the state company Inter State Gas Sistems.
