Ministry of Natural Resources expects new applications for the shelf from Gazprom and Rosneft

The Ministry of Natural Resources expects new applications for the development of the continental shelf from Gazprom and Rosneft this  year, the Minister S. Donskoi said.

The Ministry plans to submit the documents by the current 9 applications of the state companies until the end of the year. New applications might be filed, dependent on when Gazprom and Rosneft will submit them… I think it might happen this year, Mr. Donskoi said.

The Minister said that the consideration of the already filed applications for the development of the shelf will depend on the process of approval of the licenses by the related agencies – the Ministry of Defense, Federal Security Service and Russia Federal Fisheries Agency.
