Russia and Kazakhstan to resolve issue on duty-free supply of oil products

Russia and Kazakhstan haven’t found a scheme to save duty-free supplies within the Customs Union, with which the Russian budget would be able to avoid loss of $700 million; the issue must be resolved during a week – by the visit of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Moscow, the Kommersant reports on Friday.

In the near future, the Russian Government may change the intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Kazakhstan on supply of oil and oil products, a source, who is familiar with the situation, reported to the Kommersant. Amendments should settle a problem of Russian oil products supply to Kazakhstan, which must be duty-free within the Customs Union.
