BP: forecast 2035 and the position of Russia
According to the outlook by BP on the development of the global economy until 2035, Russia is going to be the world’s largest net exporter of energy resources and will meet 4% of the global demand for energy products by 2035. It is about to supply 736 million tons of oil equivalent abroad by 2035.
Energy products supply and consumption in Russia will increase by 21 and 20% respectively within 2012 and 2035. The share of the country in the global production and consumption will insignificantly go down, i.e. from 10% to 9% and from 6% to 5% respectively. It will be on the third place on liquid hydrocarbons production (11 mln barrels a day) after Saudi Arabia and the USA.
