Chinese CNPC to search for and produce oil and gas in the south-west of Tajikistan

Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon has met with the Chairman of the China Petrochemical Corporation (CNPC) Zhu Jinping during his official visit to China.

According to the press centre of the Tajikistan’s Head, during the meeting the parties discussed issues of closer cooperation in the oil and gas sector. It was noted that this company intended to actively participate in search, production and processing of oil and gas in the south-west of Tajikistan. The CNPC’s activity will be carried out with the Canadian company Tethys Petroleum and French Total.
