In April, Zaporozhstal reduced energy resources consumption

In April, Zaporozhstal reduced its energy resources consumption including gas by 4.3 million cubic m or by 21%, and energy by 4.1 million kW/h or 5%. The economic effect was 22 million grivnas in April.

Under realization of the energy efficiency programs of Metinvest Group, Zaporozhstal works on the improving of the energy efficiency of its production. Energy resources consumption reduces at the background of the growth in production. In April, Zaporozhstal increased the production of cast iron by 0.9%, steel by 0.8%, rolled steel by 2.2%, and reduced energy resources consumption to 15.5 million cubic m of gas compared to 19.8 million cubic m in April 2013, and 86 million kW/h of purchased energy compared to 90 million kW/h in April 2013.
