The losses won’t stop Gazprom from the gas supply termination to the Ukraine if the Government of Russia makes such a decision. The ex-plenipotentiary envoy of the Ukraine for International Energy safety issues, B. Sokolovsky said.
No losses will hold Russia from reaching its political aim, he said.
Russia uses gas as a weapon in regard of the Ukraine, B. Sokolovsky thinks.
Today the Ukraine is the 3rd in the list of top-buyers of the Russian gas. The annual purchase volume of Gazprom’s gas is about 26 bln cubic m.
But it is impossible to count exactly what volumes Gazprom will lose from the supply termination, B. Sokolovsky said.
