Peskov: the Kremlin doesn’t discuss an opportunity of mineral extraction tax rise for oil

​The Kremlin doesn’t discuss an opportunity of increasing the mineral extraction tax for oil, the press secretary of the President, D. Peskov, said.

Previously a few sources in the sector said that the Ministry of Finance suggested correcting in 2016 the coefficient in the formula of mineral extraction tax for oil, counting it by a fixed dollar rate of 2014. These innovations of the Ministry of Finance are called the “rouble deduction” at the calculation of the mineral extraction tax for oil.

The Ministry of Finance suggests taking the rate of 43.8 roubles in 2016, 47.1 roubles in 2017 and 49.8 roubles in 2018. In this case the deduction will make up 657 roubles in 2016, 707 roubles in 2017 and 747 roubles/barrel in 2018.

The additional revenue of the budget from turning to the “rouble deduction” of the mineral extraction tax in 2016-2018 might make up in total 1.61 trln roubles. in particular, in 2016 – 609 bln roubles, in 2017- 525 bln roubles, in 2018 – 76 bln roubles.
