The Ukraine filled its underground gas capacities for 100 mln cubic m over the weekend

​As of today’s morning the Ukraine loaded 15.3 bln cubic m of gas into its underground gas storages, Ukrtransgas reports.

As of Friday evening, according to GSE, gas reserves of Kiev made up 15.2008 bln cubic m. Thus over the weekend gas reserves were increased by 92 mln cubic m.

From the beginning of September, according to Ukrtransgas, gas storages of the Ukraine were filled by 0.8 bln cubic m of gas. Daily average pumping rate in September made up 38.7 mln cubic m.

By the start of the heating season (mid October) the Ukraine will manage to accumulate about 16.5 bln cubic m of gas. The Ukraine needs 19 bln cubic m to pass the winter without problems.

After the latest negotiations between A. Novak and M. Shefchovic, Europe guaranteed to issue $500 mln to the Ukraine for the loading of additional 2 bln cubic m of gas. These funds will be directly transferred to Gazprom.
