Saudi Arabia outstrips Russia in oil extraction in September

In September Saudi Arabia outstripped Russia in oil extraction and became the new world leader, the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reports.
In compliance with the oil extraction comparison data of Rosstat, in September Russia extracted 9.987 million barrels per day and OPEC countries – 30.047 million barrels per day (including Iraq and Saudi Arabia – 2.807 and 10.061 million barrels per day respectively).
