In 2012, the increase of oil reserves in Russia made up 681 million tons, gas – 816 billion cubic meters, the Minister of Natural Resources, Sergei Donskoy reported at the meeting with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.

According to operation data of the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector, in 2012, 518 million tons of oil and gas condensate, and 655 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in Russia. Thus, the oil invasion factor made up 131%, and gas – 125%.

“First, it may be said that in 2012 the sector coped with the tasks, which it faced. We have the reproduction of the main, most required types of natural resources: we have increase of oil reserves in the amount of 681 million tons – that means that the reproduction is extended, and gas reserves – 816 billion cubic meters that is also more than the production,” – S.Donskoy said to the Head of the State.

He reported that the coal, iron and copper reproduction was also extended. “49 deposits of hydrocarbons were discovered; they include large deposits, like the Velikoye in the Astrakhan region, it has perspectives of growth. Now it has 42 million tons of A, B, C1 and C2 reserves. Of course, it may be increased,” – the Finmarket cites the Minister.

He recalled that Rosneft discovered deposits in East Siberia. “All these projects – all 49 – as I have said, the trend, which was in the previous years, will be continued this year. 50 fields of solid commercial minerals were also discovered. In principle, the industry is coping on the whole,” – S.Donskoy noted.

According to him, the income, received from the subsoil use, exceeded the budgeted rates.
