BP expects stable oil extraction in Azerbaijan in 2016

​BP expects stable oil extraction in the Azeri block ACG in 2016, the regional President of the company in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, G. Birrell, said.

The company also plans a double shutdown of platforms for technical works this year.

Due to the effective operational programs we expect that the extraction at ACG will stay at a stable level against previous years. I am sure the deposit will stay competitive for many years to come, Birrell said.

He said that BP in Azerbaijan has got used to low oil prices.

I think we are in a good state and have successfully got used to the current complicated conditions. We have determined certain actions and plans on the rise of efficiency of operations and investment management into large projects. We think that the current situation will stay this year, he said.
