Nord Stream 2 answers the letter of its opponents

The company Nord Stream 2 AG has given absentee response to a letter of several EU countries, which was sent to the European Commission to protest against the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. The project operator believes that the message was based on the misconceptions and false claims.

In early March, eight EU member countries sent a letter to the chairman of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, in which they asked him to express disagreement with the Nord Stream-2 project and support the initiative of the project opponents. The Reuters reported that the letter was signed by the Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, as well as the President of Lithuania.
