Novatek holds preliminary negotiations with PTT on LNG sale

Novatek starts a preliminary stage of negotiations with PTT (Thailand) on the opportunity of LNG sale from the future projects, the company’s head, L. Mikhelson, said.
Speaking about Yamal LNG, almost the entire volume has been contracted already. We constantly study the market. The APR market seems to develop quickly – India, Thailand etc. We start a preliminary stage of negotiations with our potential partners. Recently I met with PTT. Their gas consumption today is about 54 bln cubic m and in 2020-2022 a sharp fall of domestic extraction is expected there – this is a large potential market, Mikhelson said.
Europeans are more reserved. The market of Europe faces a surplus now.
