ALROSA increased diamond mining by 6% in Q1

ALROSA Group (ALRS) increased diamond production in the first quarter of 2014 by 6% up to 7.9 million carat against the same period last year. The revenue of the company went up by approximately 24% over this period and made up $1.5 billion. It is said in a statement of the diamond-mining company.

The growth is owing to an increase of diamond content in the kimberlite pipe Yubileynaya, an increase of mining at the underground mines of the deposits of Aikhal and International, an increase of ore treatment volume from the pipe Arkhangelskaya (“Severalmaz”).
