Gazprom not going to share Yamal gas with NOVATEK

There is some disagreement in partnership of the Chairman of Gazprom Aleksey Miller and the Head of NOVATEK Leonid Mikhelson. Gazprom preferred to supply the gas from Tambey group of deposits to the pipeline instead of including it in the JV with NOVATEK as resource base for further production of liquefied fuel, RBC daily reports.

Gazprom decided to deliver gas from North Tambey, West Tambey and Tasiyskoye deposits to the unified gas supply system instead of using it for production of LNG in cooperation with NOVATEK, the Head of the department for extraction of gas, gas condensate and oil Vsevolod Cherepanov said yesterday. Previously it was supposed to use the gas from Tambey group of deposits for production of LNG with NOVATEK in the framework of the joint project in Yamal. However, as specified by Cherepanov, “the plans with NOVATEK are an option, one of the possible variants”.
