Bashneft applies the oil extraction growth technology for the Trebs deposit

​Bashneft tests the technology of oil extraction growth with the simultaneous utilization of APG at the Staro-Kazansky deposit in Bashkiria.

In future this technology is planned to be implemented at the Trebs deposit in the Nenets Autonomous Area which is developed by Bashneft-Polyus Ltd, a JV of Bashneft and Lukoil.

The unique for Russia project of water- alternated -gas injection is tested at the fields of the Staro-Kazansky deposit.

This technology is unique by the mixing of water with the extracted APG without preliminary preparation, and the produced mixture is then loaded into the layer thus increasing the oil extraction rates.

The new water-alternated-gas injection technology will allow to increase the oil extraction rate at the Trebs deposit and will provide a 95% APG utilization.

In the world practice the application of this technology is restricted by a few projects.
