Gazprom may build underground gas storages and gas power stations in China

Gazprom and Chinese CNPC may sign a memorandum on cooperation in the creation of underground gas storages and gas generation during the visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to China on June 25, the Vedomosti wrote on Wednesday, referred to a representative of CNPC.

According to the publication, it will be a framework agreement concerning facilities on the territory of China, the parameters of it haven’t yet been determined. A representative of Gazprom declined to comment on the document before signing. It is noted that Gazprom and CNPS have long discussed cooperation in the field of underground gas storage facilities and the creation of gas generation.
