Rosneft plans to construct LNG plant in Venezuela

Rosneft will realize the project on gas extraction at the shelf of Venezuela and construct a plant on gas liquefaction there, I. Sechin said.
The key market for the future plant will be Europe.
Rosneft and PDVSA (Venezuela) signed an agreement on the main conditions of foundation of the JV for the realization of the project on extraction, preparation and monetization of gas on the basis of the Patao, Mikhelsones and Rio Caribe deposits at the shelf of Venezuela.
The Minister of Oil and Mining Industry of Venezuela, E. Del Pino, said that PDVSA and Rosneft might sign documents on the foundation of the JV on the gas project in Venezuela within 2 months, possibly, in July during the visit of Mr. Sechin to Venezuela.
