Rosneft plans to restrict itself to LNG project in the Far East in gas export
According to the law, Rosneft can’t export gas from Russia, excluding the liquefaction projects. It realizes one LNG project in the Far East and plans to restrict itself to it in the sphere of LNG export, the head of Rosneft, I. Sechin, said.
Mr. Sechin said that according to the legislation, the company will not be able to ship gas from Russia to the export market, except the liquefaction projects.
Rosneft plans to realize together with ExxonMobil the “Far East LNG” project in Sakhalin. The representatives of Rosneft said that the final decision by the investment project will be made in 2016-2017. An opportunity of LNG supplies from this plant to India is discussed.
