Sibur increased profit from the sale of polymers by 28%

Sibur Holding PJSC announced of the fall of its operational results for Q1 2016.

In Q1 2016 the revenue from the sale of oil chemicals products grew by 15.7% y-o-y to 48.6 bln roubles. High results were shown by all products of this group. The growth is primarily explained by the increase of sales of basic polymers. Moreover, the revenue from the sale of semi-finished goods and other oil chemicals products rose by means of the production growth against Q1 2015.

The revenue growth from the sale of plastics and organic synthesis products was mainly due to the growth of sales of BOPP film. The revenue increase from the sale of synthetic rubber was reached due to the completion of the process of approval of thermoplastic rubber by basic clients. The devaluation of the rouble also gave a serious support to the revenue growth from the export sales of oil chemicals products.

The revenue from the sale of plastics and organic synthesis products grew by 9.1% y-o-y to 15.9 bln roubles mainly due to the growth of BOPP film sales as a result of the increase of production volumes as well as fewer accumulation of reserves compared with the volumes of 2015.
