Novak may head Transneft

The Russian Government has proposed to representatives of the state in the Transneft’s Board of Directors to vote for the election of the Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak as a chairman of the Board, the Vedomosti reports.

A source of the newspaper in one of the federal agencies confirmed that the Federal Property Management Agency and the Energy Ministry submitted a proposal for the election of Novak to the Board. There is no directive on the election of the Transneft’s president to date, a representative of the Ministry of Energy reports: "The question now is being approved by the Government".
