Metalloinvest to be major supplier of cast iron to the domestic market

In the near future the Magnitogorsk Iron-and-Steel works cwill oncluded a contract with Metalloinvest on the supply of cast iron. This agreement considers the monthly supply of 50 thousand tons of cast iron from the Ural steel to the plant, a representative of the company said.
The necessity to buy from a third party cast iron has appeared because of shortage of metal scrap, a spokesman for OJSC “MMK” said.
