The Ukraine is ready to increase purchase of Russian gas up to 50%

The Ukraine might increase the stake of the Russian gas purchase from 30% to 50%, the Minister of Energy V. Demchishin said.

It is connected with the fact that the Russian gas is shipped to the Ukraine at a better price.

In late September 2015 the Ukraine couldn’t agree with the price policy of Gazprom.

The average gas price for Europe is $252/thousand cubic m.

The Ukraine agreed to the discount of $20.

Recently Naftogas transferred $136 mln to Gazprom for gas supply.

However, there are still rumors that the Ukraine doesn’t need that much the Russian gas.

What has happened?

Why Demchishin started to speak about the rise of gas supply?
