China imported record volume of crude oil from Kazakhstan in 2013

In 2013 China imported a record 11.85 million tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan. It is by 14.09% more than in 2012.

The local mass-media reported, citing a statement of the regional authority (    Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region), through whose the territory the oil is delivered to China.

The oil pipeline goes from Atasu city in Kazakhstan to the plant “PetroChina” (PetroChina Dushanzi Petrochemical Company) in the Xinjiang district of Dushanzi.
