Europe consumes less gas but Gazprom saves its stake in 2014

On the results of 2014 the stake of the Russian gas in the far abroad market, Europe and Turkey, stayed at the level of 2013 – this is about 29.7%, Interfax says referring to its calculations.

By the present time the International Energy Agency has published the statistics for 10 months 2014. The data for 2014 will be published only in mid March 2015.

According to the analysts of Interfax Global Energy, in November –December 2014 gas consumption in Europe fell 7.1%, in Turkey – by 8.6%. It turns out that the total gas consumption in Europe and Turkey made up 495.4 bln cubic m – by 9.6% less than in 2013. Gas consumption in Germany fell 14%, Italy – 12%.
