Yamal reduced gas extraction by 5.8% in 2014

The fuel and energy companies working in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area in 2014 reduced gas extraction by 5.8% against 2013, press service of the regional Government reports.
In total in 2014 the volume of the extracted gas made up 516.2 bln cubic m. 21.5 mln tons of oil were produced (in 2013 – 21.7 mln tons). Condensate extraction rose 9.8% and made up 17 mln tons.
“The production volumes at this or that period are determined by a number of factors: from temperature and environment in the market to geopolitical and macroeconomic circumstances”, the Governor of Yamal, D. Kobylkin said.
